<b>The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Development of Islamic Culture in the Digital Age</b>

This study examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the development of Islamic culture in the digital era, which is witnessing a profound transformation in the production and circulation of knowledge. It analyzes AI’s role in enhancing the global dissemination of Islamic culture and evaluates the benefits and challenges associated with adopting its technologies. The research aims to identify the influence of AI applications on the quality of Islamic cultural development, reveal their relation to value bias in algorithms and the accuracy of provided information, and determine how effective progress depends on establishing ethical and Sharia-based frameworks. Employing historical and descriptive-analytical methods within spatial boundaries in Saudi Arabia and a temporal scope for 2025, the study found that AI has created a qualitative leap in the preservation and dissemination of Islamic heritage. However, algorithmic bias resulting from the underrepresentation of authentic Islamic data in global models poses a serious threat to the originality of Islamic concepts, and the quality of AI outputs is closely linked to the security and reliability of the models used. The study recommends establishing a sovereign Sharia data bank, requiring developers of Islamic applications to integrate core Islamic values into their designs, training “scholar-programmers” who combine religious and technical expertise, incorporating digital critical literacy into educational curricula, and drafting a jurisprudential charter for AI ethics that ensures transparency in smart fatwa systems. Ultimately, the study concludes that guiding AI according to the principles of justice, moderation, and integrity represents the essence of the civilizational challenge toward achieving the digital stewardship of the Islamic nation.
