This reflection, guided by the Psychology of Work and Organizations, seeks to analyze how organizational climate influences professional motivation in a public higher education institution in Angola, specifically in the province of Malanje, in 2024. The central research question was: what factors of the organizational climate contribute to the motivation or demotivation of professionals? The study aimed to understand the factors that affect the motivation of employees in the institution. To this end, it relied on the theories of human relations, hierarchy of needs, hygiene and motivational factors, and field theory. The research is applied, exploratory, and quantitative in approach. The population consisted of 59 members, with a sample of 52 people selected by simple random sampling. Data were collected through observation and questionnaire surveys, and analyzed statistically and thematically. The results indicated that demotivating factors are related to a lack of job updates and interpersonal conflicts, while motivating factors are associated with a non-bureaucratic institutional relationship and job satisfaction. The majority of participants (75%) indicated that the impact of organizational climate on motivation is negative, while 25% pointed out that the type of climate that exists has a positive impact. This study contributes to the understanding of motivational dynamics in the organizational context, offering scientific support for Work and Organizational Psychology.
