This paper analyzes key issues in fostering safe behavior in children in today's sociocultural environment. Particular attention is given to the role of mentoring in ensuring the life safety of the younger generation, and relevant aspects of its educational activities are considered. A statistical analysis of data on the consequences of emergencies and fires is presented, demonstrating the urgency and relevance of the issue under study. The need for a comprehensive approach to fostering a safety culture, involving the active involvement of the parent community, volunteer organizations, and veteran mentors, is substantiated. The study examines the organizational, pedagogical, and managerial aspects of parental involvement in fostering safe behavior in children in various life situations: at home, in everyday life, and in the natural environment. A review of the research works of leading scholars who have contributed to the development of the theory and practice of fostering a safety culture is provided. The article highlights important pedagogical approaches used in fostering a safety culture in children and examines effective information tools that contribute to raising awareness and fostering safe behavior. The authors emphasize the need to strengthen the role and expand the activities of children's public organizations specializing in fire safety. Specific elements of organizational and management solutions aimed at improving the system of training and fostering safe behavior in the younger generation are proposed.
