OverviewThis dataset contains a sample of geospatial products and climate risk analyses generated within the framework of the Urban Shield project, funded under the NextGenerationEU program (PNRR). The project aims to enhance urban resilience against climate change through an AI-driven Digital Twin platform integrating High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Earth Observation data. Dataset ContentThe provided data offers a snapshot of the high-resolution outputs produced for the two pilot cities: Naples (focus on heatwaves and urban cooling) and Venice (focus on pluvial flooding). The dataset is organized into the following categories: LST (Land Surface Temperature): High-resolution thermal maps derived from satellite data downscaling (10m). Flooding: Sample outputs from the SaferRAIN hydraulic model, including water depth and flood extent for specific rainfall scenarios. LULC (Land Use Land Cover): Detailed land cover classification maps used as input for risk modelling. CarbonStorage: Estimates of carbon sequestration potential by urban vegetation. HPR (Heatwave Potential Risk): Index related to heat stress and thermal comfort. Simulation: Examples of ex-ante scenarios generated via Generative AI to assess the impact of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). Project PartnersThe Urban Shield project is a collaborative effort between: Latitudo 40 - Specialized in GeoAI and Earth Observation. GECOsistema - Specialized in environmental modelling and hydraulic risk. Contact & Further InformationThis dataset serves as a demonstrative sample for review purposes. The full platform offers dynamic, real-time monitoring and customizable simulations for any location worldwide.
