The project to map Third Sector Organisations in Casentino is part of the Tuscany Health Ecosystem (THE), an initiative dividedinto 10 macro research themes, assigned to specific research groups or spokes, all linked to issues related to life sciences andinnovation in the Tuscany region's health system. In particular, spoke 10, called 'Population Health', stands out for its goal ofinnovating the healthcare system, focusing on the active involvement of the population and communities. In this context, theuniversities and public and private bodies participating in spoke 10 (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, University of Florence,University of Pisa, University of Siena, University for Foreigners of Siena, Dedalus spa) are working together to developmethods and tools that facilitate the introduction of innovative services and policies in the healthcare system.In this context, the University of Florence, with its Department of Economics and Business Sciences (DISEI), Department ofArchitecture (DIDA), Department of Education, Languages, Intercultural Studies, Literature and Psychology (FORLILPSI) and theDepartment of Health Sciences (DSS), is addressing the specific theme defined as 'Community engagement and socialinnovation for health and well-being of individuals and territories'. To this end, the synergy between the work of the departmentsand stakeholders aims to promote the Health Community Lab, a coordination centre for community engagement projects inregional health services to develop innovative strategies and actions through co-creation projects.The project presented in this document, promoted in the Casentino area, aims to support collaboration between the variousstakeholders - local administrators, the health district, the local health authority, health professionals, associations and thirdsector organisations, and the resident population - in order to develop solutions for the reorganisation of social and healthservices that are focused on the needs of the community.The University of Florence, in collaboration with the ARCO research centre, has conducted a mapping of Third Sector Entities(TSEs) through questionnaires and interviews, in order to enhance their role in the reorganisation of health, social-health andsocial services for the benefit of citizens, and to understand their sustainability over time. This report is the result of the mappingof ETS active and operating in the Casentino area in the social and health care sector, carried out between September andDecember 2024.
