Economic burden of non-transfusion-dependent thalassemia in the United States

Patients with NTDT in the United States, including those with α- and β-thalassemia, have significantly higher all-cause HCRU and costs vs. matched controls. There is a need for effective treatment options to reduce the healthcare burden of NTDT and improve patient outcomes.
