The rapid advancement of information and communication technologies has significantly increased the efficiency of modern digital systems while simultaneously exposing them to a wide range of computer threats. Cyberattacks, malware, data breaches, and unauthorized access have become serious challenges affecting individuals, organizations, and governments worldwide. This article examines the nature and evolution of contemporary computer threats and analyzes the effectiveness of modern IT solutions used to mitigate cybersecurity risks. The study is based on a comprehensive review of scientific literature, international standards, and analytical reports in the field of cybersecurity. Particular attention is given to malware attacks, phishing, social engineering, cloud security risks, and Internet of Things vulnerabilities. The findings indicate that traditional security approaches are insufficient in isolation and must be complemented by integrated technical, organizational, and human-centered strategies. Advanced IT solutions such as encryption, intrusion detection systems, intelligent threat monitoring, and security awareness programs play a crucial role in enhancing system resilience. The article concludes that sustainable cybersecurity requires a comprehensive and adaptive approach that combines technological innovation, user education, and effective governance to ensure the secure development of digital infrastructures.
