Corruption in Slovak Healthcare as a Result of Systemic Failures in Public Policy

The aim of this paper is to generally analyze the phenomenon of corruption in the Slovak healthcare system as a manifestation of systemic deficiencies in public policy. It focuses on identifying the forms and extent of corruption, examining public and healthcare professionals’ perceptions and personal experiences, and evaluating the impact of corrupt practices on public trust in state healthcare institutions. Based on these findings, the paper seeks to propose recommendations aimed at increasing transparency and efficiency within the Slovak healthcare system.
