Char depth of several wood species at the material scale

This dataset contains the results of 1,000 cone calorimeter tests conducted on 10 x 10 cm² wood samples. The results primarily focus on the char layer, with the char thickness and the amount of virgin wood remaining measured on the samples at the end of each test. The regression of oxidised carbon is also deduced. Various experimental parameters were varied, including wood species, heat flux densities, exposure time, sample orientation, environment and initial thickness, as well as the presence of a pilot device to control the material's ignition.
