Actualization of fisheries research activities for the development of a tourism project on Zavyalov Island (Magadan region)

Domestic tourism is in the stage of dynamic development, creating new opportunities and prospects for attracting tourists, including ecological destinations in the waters of lakes, rivers and seas. The topic of ecological tourism, as a factor providing a favorable background for a tourist product, requires more understanding. Therefore, examples of new tourism projects are very useful for analyzing and developing ways to increase their commercial sustainability. In the absence of significant historical and cultural sites in the Magadan region, tourism in the region focuses on natural resources. Using the example of Zavyalov Island, the prospect of involving the topic of marine biological natural resources for tourism is considered. Promising areas of scientific fisheries management are highlighted, designed to strengthen the tourism project on the island. The compatibility of the selected directions is shown. It is pointed out that it is necessary to substantiate the project from the standpoint of the concept of natural capital in the context of regional development.
