The aim of the given work is the increase of safety of underground coal mining at simultaneous decrease of atmosphere methane pollution by way the expense of extraction and utilising of conditional methane on the base of using an optimum ventilation regime. The criterion is offered for the methane control, which may be used at any control method and also takes into account the development of new technologies of methane utilisation.
