Research Dataset: FTIR spectra of palm oil-based softener, treated and untreated cotton fabrics (Saha et al., 2025)

This dataset consists of FTIR spectra of palm oil-based softener, untreated control cotton fabric sample, and palm oil-based softener-treated cotton fabric samples measured using a Perkin Elmer Spectrum Two UATR FT-IR DTGS Infrared Spectrometer. The purpose of this was to find out the bonding characteristics of palm oil-based softener and whether the softener can create any chemical bonding with the cellulose molecule present in the cotton fabric. Data is provided in .csv format with transmittance (%) on the y-axis and wavenumber (cm-1) on the x-axis, covering both fingerprint and functional group regions.
