Molecule-Level Ni Complex Nanosheets with High Electrocatalytic Activity for Oxygen Evolution

The Ni(II) complex nanosheets on Ni foam (<b>Ni_CNS/NF</b>) were prepared for the first time via a direct growth method. The electrocatalytic activity for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) of <b>Ni_CNS/NF</b> has been investigated in alkaline solution (1.0 M KOH), and this molecular level catalyst drives 20 mA cm^-2 at an overpotential of 320 mV. The transformation of bulk complexes into nanosheets exposes more metal-active sites, offering a new route to boost the OER performance.
