SEM micrograph dataset of Geastrum spores for AI-based species identification

This dataset contains high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs of Geastrum spores used for AI-based species identification. Images were acquired under controlled imaging conditions and curated to preserve fine ultrastructural details relevant for taxonomic discrimination. The dataset includes associated voucher information and corresponding GenBank accession numbers. These data support the integration of SEM imaging, ITS sequencing, and explainable deep learning for robust species delimitation in Geastrum.
