My dear colleagues of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Warm greetings from ISA National Headquarters! It is indeed a proud moment for me to pen this message for the Indian Journal of Anaesthesia (IJA), the most prestigious and favourite academic progeny of our body, the ISA. The ISA has always supported academics and education, and the IJA is its right arm in promoting academics and biomedical research from varied setups and geographical locations across our nation and beyond. Nevertheless, the College of ISA (CISA), ISA online postgraduate (PG) classes, ISA-sponsored continued medical education (CME) programmes, workshops, PG assemblies, and webinars promote education and update the knowledge of students, consultants, and practitioners. The recent release of books by the CISA on ‘Recent Advances in Paediatric Anaesthesia’ and ‘Research and Dissertation Writing for Postgraduate Students’ are strong initiatives that depict the educational motives of our organisation. Research fellowships and grants by the ISA are a few upcoming initiatives of the ISA which are currently in the pipeline for the promotion of research amongst the anaesthesiologists of our country. The editorial team of IJA has always been committed to publishing high-quality articles on novel and useful topics, and the timeline has seen all the Editors-in-Chief of the journal strive hard to maintain and upgrade the scientific level of the journal in the academic world. The last few years have seen an improved visibility and global presence of the journal. I congratulate Prof. Rakesh Garg, Editor-in-Chief, IJA (2022–2025), and the entire editorial team for their efforts and hard work. There is no end to progress, and the journal needs to progress further on the global academic platform. I am sure that the editorial team, reviewers, and authors of IJA will continue to work hard in this direction, and I wish Dr Madhuri Kurdi, the incoming Editor-in-Chief, all the very best in this endeavour. As Honorary Secretary of ISA, it will be my prime responsibility to provide all the support to the journal. Long Live ISA! Warm regards Dr. Rajiv Gupta Honorary Secretary, ISA National
