Arithmetic Kinematics and the Hodge Resonance: An Investigation into the Geometric Stiffness of Complex Manifolds

The Hodge Conjecture posits that on a non-singular complex projective manifold, every harmonic form of type (p, p) with rational periods is a linear combination of algebraic cycles. In this paper, we propose a kinematic framework to address this conjecture by mapping the manifold’s defining data into an Arithmetic Information Manifold (H_P) spanned by the prime numbers. By treating the manifold as a “stiff” arithmetic lattice, we reinterpret the (p, p) condition not as a static label, but as a condition of Spectral Resonance. We argue that algebraic cycles correspond to Diophantine trajectories that are naturally locked to the prime basis, allowing them to sustain this resonance without kinematic cost. Conversely, we demonstrate that transcendental cycles behave as high-entropy scattering states. We apply Baker’s Theorem on linear forms in logarithms to identify a “Resolution Horizon” in the arithmetic medium. This horizon creates a kinematic obstruction that prevents non-algebraic cycles from mimicking the precise rational resonance required by the Hodge condition. Our analysis suggests that the Hodge Conjecture is a natural consequence of the finite information resolution of the arithmetic vacuum.
