VNL: a scalable and immersive 3D sandbox virtual lab for computer network education

This work presents Virtual Network Lab (VNL), a ubiquitous, authentic, and immersive learning environment that complements physical computer network lab sessions by offering an immersive option in performing computer network configuration exercises without physical constraints. By integrating authenticity, accessibility, and utility, VNL has the potential to enhance students’ motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes, which will be explored in future studies.
