<b>Prevalence of Gender Dysphoria Among Emerging Adults</b>

The current research investigated the prevalence of gender dysphoria (GD) among emerging adults aged 18–25years. A total of 500 male and female participants were recruited through purposive sampling. A quantitative, descriptive survey design was utilized and data was collected using the Utrecht Gender Dysphoria Scale–Gender Spectrum (UGDS-GS; McGuire et al., 2020). Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS version 21. The findings revealed a significant positive correlation between age and GD (r = .18), indicating a slight increase in reported dysphoria with age within the sampled group. Moderate levels of GD were observed in 26% of participants, while only 1.8% demonstrated high levels. Although the overall prevalence was not high for most individuals, a notable proportion experienced meaningful levels of distress. These results highlight the importance of recognizing gender-related concerns among young adults and underscore the need for informed support services and further research within the Pakistani context.
