Dermatological conditions are a frequent occurrence during travel to tropical regions. The most common are skin and soft tissue infections caused by Staphylococcus species. Post-travel recurrent furunculosis is a newly defined (2015), transient clinical entity, whose distinct validity remains debated to this day. Two case studies are presented (involving an adolescent aged 12 and a young adult aged 34) who developed recurrent, painful, purulent nodular lesions in the axillary and dorsal regions following travel to Thailand. The patients received surgical drainage (incision and drainage), along with systemic and topical antibiotic therapy. Following treatment, the symptoms manifested in progressively milder forms, resolved intermittently, and ultimately achieved complete resolution within 3-6 weeks. Accurate knowledge of this condition is vital for selecting adequate therapy and providing credible information, which significantly improves therapeutic adherence during recurrent episodes, while also underscoring the importance of obtaining a detailed travel history.
