STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF SUPOSITORY MATERIALS ON SOIL ACIDITY

the article presents the results of a model vegetation experiment on the effect of saponite–containing material on the acidity and agrochemical properties of a strongly acidic sod-podzolic medium–loamy soil. It was found that the application of saponite at doses of 0,75–1,5 in terms of hydrolytic acidity increases the pH value of the salt extract, reduces the hydrolytic acidity, and significantly decreases the content of mobile aluminum in the soil. The most pronounced ameliorating effect was observed at a dose of 1,5 in terms of hydrolytic acidity. The application of saponite did not lead to the accumulation of heavy metals and contributed to the reduction of their mobile forms. The improvement of the soil’s agrochemical properties had a positive impact on the growth and development of oat plants.
