Why I Have Chosen to Remain an Educator

Abstract Every day of the school year, students are going to come to school. It is imperative that urban educators come prepared and ready to move students from where they are to where they need to be. One must realize that joy and satisfaction comes after students have left us, when they inform us that their lives are going well and they offer thanks for our role in making that happen. To this end, we must focus on the positive and make certain that we are providing students with a positive example of what a professional looks like.
