Removal of PFAS from contaminated water using sorbents in batch experiments report

This report evaluates the conducted batch experiments using 7 selected sorbents to assess their effectiveness in removing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from the supplied two water samples from borehole HV 302. As part of the PFAS analysis of water samples, the following substances were monitored: PFBA, PFPeA, PFHxA, PFBS, HFPO-DA frag 285, 5:3 FTCA (FPePA), PFHpA, PFOA, PFHxS, PFNA, PFHpS, PFOS, 6:2 FTS, PFPrS, FOSA, PFEESA, NaDONA, PFDA, and N-MeFOSAA. Batch experiments were conducted using 7 selected sorbents. Three polymeric sorbents (Lewatit S 6268, Purofine PFA 694 A, and Lewatit TP 108), two biochars (Biochar – woody biomass, Biochar – crop residues), and two activated carbons (Silcarbon K 835 and Hydraffin 30 N) were selected for the experiments.
