The purpose of the article is to highlight and present the results of studying the organization of extracurricular activities for teaching sand animation to younger students, providing teachers with information and practical methods for implementing these activities in secondary schools as part of extracurricular activities. The results of this research can also be used for additional education centers. The article discusses the features of the process of organizing extracurricular activities for teaching sand animation to younger students in a secondary school, which helps to develop their musical-creative abilities. The article covers the main points necessary for such an organization. Sand animation involves the synthesis of various arts, including music and visual arts, which helps to develop the musical-creative abilities of younger students, as well as their artistic and creative competencies. Methodology. The work used mainly general scientific research methods, among them an important role was played by the analysis of scientific literature, observation, systematization, generalization. the results of the study. The article provides a review of the scientific literature on the problem, examines aspects of the organization of extracurricular activities for teaching sand animation: the availability of equipment, educational program, pedagogical conditions, individual classes, the presence of a separate classroom, the recruitment of children and occupancy, practical application. It is necessary to organize a set of groups of students for vocal and sand animation training, since ready-made sound recordings can be used in sand animation, but the best of all is a live performance of the vocal part of a vocal and instrumental piece, which is quite accessible to younger students. In the process of learning sand animation, students analyze musical works, which develops their musical auditory and analytical abilities, which are part of musical-creative abilities. In conclusion, it is concluded that a well-organized process of organizing extracurricular activities for teaching sand animation to younger schoolchildren in secondary schools provides opportunities for the development of musical-creative abilities, artistic and creative competencies. Extracurricular activities are an integral part of general education schools and have a positive impact on the development of creative, musical-creative abilities of younger students, as they participate in various activities: art, drama and music, and others, which contributes to the development of non-standard thinking and a creative approach to problem solving.
