Additional guarantees of railway transport workers’ rights as a means of protecting from professional burnout

The study is devoted to the problem of identifying effective tools for protecting railway transport workers from professional burnout. The characteristics of railway transport workers’ labor have been studied, revealing factors that contribute to their risk of professional burnout. The article examines the issues related to the introduction of digital technologies for delegating non-creative routine tasks. Risks associated with the increasing implementation of technical systems based on artificial intelligence have been identified. The necessity of achieving a balance between using artificial intelligence to alleviate the workload of railway personnel and the challenges arising from the large-scale adoption of new technologies has been highlighted. It concludes that it is essential to introduce, into the current labour legislation regulating the work of specific employee categories, provisions concerning additional guarantees for workers’ rights—particularly for those using new digital technologies based on artificial intelligence in their work.
