P534: Care of dystrophinopathy carriers: Survey results of provider practices in the United States

intentions to perform recommended management.We calculated the rate of invited patients who opened the DPN and completed the DPN tasks and summarized patient-reported reactions to results and risk management intentions descriptively.Results: A total of 223 patients (65 with Lynch variants, 79 with cardiomyopathy variants, 79 with HFE variants) were offered the DPN during results disclosure.Five patients declined; the remaining 218 were sent invitations to the DPN.Of those invited, 120 (55%) activated the application; 95 of these (79%) completed the DPN tasks.Fourteen patients who had not previously scheduled a genetic counseling appointment requested one through the DPN.Twenty-five risk management behaviors were reported that were previously unknown to the genetics team.Patients rated the DPN as being helpful (mean=4.8 on 1-5 scale) and that they would use it again (mean=4.5).They also indicated that they understood care recommendations (mean=4.4) and intended to follow them (mean=4.7). Conclusion:Nearly half of patients with an actionable genetic result detected through population genomic screening completed a digital patient navigator that intends to support them in encouraging recommended risk management.The DPN was rated as helpful, with patients expressing a high likelihood of following management recommendations.DPNs have the potential to support longitudinal engagement and help patients track results and guideline-based management.Efforts to increase engagement, evaluate alternative approaches to encouraging risk management, and assess effects on adherence to care are ongoing.
