Study on status of crime against women in west Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh

An attempt has been made in paper to discuss crime against women in contemporary modern society with special reference to West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. Through a comprehensive analysis of crime statistics in District, This study aims to shed light on the status of crime against women in the district utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data. The study was conducted on data collected from the cases that has been reported in the office of superintendent of police, West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. The reported cases (crime against women) in the year 2020, 2021 and 2022 have been used as the sample. Findings reveal that crime against women/ girl in the district is increase in consecutive years.
