The Study of Socio-Economic Profile of Rice Cultivators in Kolhapur District (Maharashtra)

Abstract: Rice is important food in India.. In this regard understanding the socio-economic profile of rice growers for designing effective agricultural policies and improving productivity. So in this way non-physical factors impact on agriculture development. in this research paper the analysis of the relevant socio-economic factors with including density of population,, irrigation and modern equipment’s, educational status of rice growers, infrastructural facilities and standard of living of rice growers. The objective of this research paper is to study the socio-economic factors of rice growers in study area and identifies major constraints they face and suggests strategies for sustainable development. Secondary data and field based observation to present a comprehensive view of rice growing communities.
