КАМЕННАЯ СТЕПЬ – ПЕРВЫЙ ОПЫТ ПРЕОБРАЗОВАНИЯ СТЕПНЫХ ЛАНДШАФТОВ РОССИИ

Приведены краткие итоги научных исследований в Каменной степи, которая стала одним из основных экспериментальных объектов Хреновского участка Особой экспедиции В.В. Докучаева, учрежденной Лесным департаментом Министерства земледелия и государственных имуществ России 22 мая (4 июня по новому стилю) 1892 года. Сегодня Каменная степь – уникальный научный полигон, с более чем 130-летней историей, где по плану В.В. Докучаева в агроэкосистеме соединены основные компоненты ландшафта, почвы, искусственные лесные насаждения, водные источники, луговые угодья, севообороты, претерпевающие эволюционные изменения под влиянием антропогенных и природных факторов. Важнейшие задачи программы Особой экспедиции В.В. Докучаева: определение главных принципов адаптивного природопользования и обоснование комплекса агрогидромелиоративных мероприятий и их практическая реализация по преобразованию степных и лесостепных ландшафтов, включающих, в частности, регулирование водного хозяйства в открытых системах, на водораздельных пространствах; использование полезащитных и мелиоративных насаждений для предотвращения водной и ветровой эрозии почв. Первостепенное значение участники Особой экспедиции и учёные последующих поколений отводили изучению закономерностей изменения микроклимата, свойств чернозёмов, состояния лесных полос, флоры и фауны Каменно-степного оазиса. С целью мониторинга этих процессов на протяжении более 100 лет ведётся изучение влажности почвы, гидротермического режима на облесенных и степных полях. Реализация Докучаевского комплекса позволила превратить сухую в прошлом ковыльную степь в лесостепной оазис. Существенно улучшился гидротермический режим, в 4 раза сократился поверхностный сток, в 1,5 раза снизилось непродуктивное испарение, отмечается оптимизация показателей плодородия почвы и гумусного состояния. Урожай зерновых культур на облесенных полях ФАНЦ им. В.В. Докучаева выше на 20-35 %, в засушливые годы – на 50-70 %, чем на участках в открытой степи. The article provides a brief summary of scientific research conducted in the Stone Steppe, which became one of the main experimental sites of the Khrenovsky section of the Special Expedition of V.V. Dokuchaev, established by the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and State Property of Russia on May 22 (June 4, New Style), 1892. Today, the Stone Steppe is a unique scientific test site with more than 130 years of history, where, according to V.V. Dokuchaev's plan, the main components of the landscape, soils, artificial forest plantations, water sources, meadow lands, and crop rotations are connected in an agroecosystem that undergoes evolutionary changes under the influence of anthropogenic and natural factors. The main objective of the V.V. Dokuchaev Special Expedition was to determine the main principles of adaptive nature management and to substantiate a set of agro-hydromeliorative measures and their practical implementation for the transformation of steppe and forest-steppe landscapes, including, in particular, "regulation of water management in open systems and on watershed areas"; "use of field-protecting and reclamation plantations to prevent water and wind erosion of soils". The participants of the Special Expedition and subsequent generations of scientists placed great emphasis on studying the patterns of changes in the microclimate, the properties of chernozems, the state of forest belts, and the flora and fauna of the Stone-Steppe Oasis. To monitor these processes, the soil moisture and hydrothermal regime in forested and steppe fields have been studied for over 100 years. The implementation of the Dokuchaev Complex has transformed the once-dry feather grass steppe into a forest-steppe oasis. The hydrothermal regime has improved significantly, surface runoff has decreased by 4 times, unproductive evaporation has decreased by 1.5 times, and soil fertility and humus content have improved. The yield of grain crops in the forested fields of the V.V. Dokuchaev Federal Agricultural Research Center is 20-35% higher, and in dry years, it is 50-70% higher than in open steppe areas.
