Modeling the Aerodynamics of a Double-Curvature Wing Under the Influence of Fan Airflow: The H.Coandă Effect

This paper presents a numerical study of the aerodynamic characteristics of a wing with a double-curvature surface as part of a wing module that includes a fan. The focus is on implementing the H.Coandă effect to generate stable lift under a high-energy flow over the wing. The mathematical model is built in ANSYS Fluent using the two-equation turbulence model k–ω SST. The methodology for mesh generation, boundary condition specification, and numerical experimentation is described. An analysis of velocity distribution, pressure coefficients, and streamlines is carried out. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed wing configuration improves aerodynamic efficiency and increases lift, making it a promising option for application in vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) uncrewed aerial vehicles. The study includes visualization of computational data and a quantitative analysis of aerodynamic parameters.
