Numerical investigation of hybrid nanofluid (TiO2−Al2O3/water) through nonlinear partial differential equations

The study investigates MHD flow and heat transfer of various shapes of ([Formula: see text])/water hybrid nanofluid over a unsteady radially stretching sheet into a porous medium. This study explores thermal radiation impact on hybrid nanofluid due to various shapes of nanoparticles under the condition of partial slip and suction. The nonlinear ODEs are generated by proper transformation on governing partial differential equations. A numerical scheme (BVP4C) is utilized to solve nonlinear ODEs in MATLAB. The influence of various non-dimensional parameter on velocity, temperature, skin friction and heat transfer rate is discussed through numerous graphs and tables. An increase in the slip, suction, and porosity parameters decreases the velocity. The heat transfer rate is larger for platelet-shaped nanoparticles and lower for sphere-shaped nanoparticles and increases with a rise in thermal radiation parameter. Platelet-shaped hybrid nanoparticles have larger skin friction in magnitude compared to nanoparticles of other shapes. Blade-shaped nanoparticles have higher heat transfer enhancement compared to nanoparticles of other shapes and increase with a rise in volume fraction of nanoparticles.
