Although the statistics on the extent of tourism in the Municipality of Tri show an increase in the recognition of the municipality in recent years, we have identified an opportunity for further development with the help of a new development concept.For the purposes of understanding the tourist micro-destination, its competitiveness, and development, we first researched the literature on the factors for the development of a micro-destination, the importance of a development strategy, the challenges in the initial stages of development, and the concept of a dispersed hotel as a development concept.We conducted case studies of two existing dispersed hotels in Slovenia, their advantages and challenges, and finally developed our own development concept based on establishing the first dispersed mountain hotel in Slovenia.iv
