Laparoscopic subtotal cholecystectomy for difficult gallbladder management: A single-center study

In cases of severe inflammation, fibrosis, or distorted anatomy, achieving a "Critical View of Safety" during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is often impossible, which significantly increases the risk of catastrophic bile duct injury.The laparoscopic subtotal cholecystectomy is a very important bailout operation in that complete cholecystectomy cannot be performed in a challenging injury of the gallbladder due to extreme inflammation or the absence of anatomy.
