Systemic Rasamsonia argillacea infection in a German Shepherd dog

This case report describes a disseminated <i>Rasamsonia (R.) argillacea</i> infection in a German shepherd dog involving internal and external lymph nodes, abdominal organs and one eye. <i>R. argillacea</i> is a member of the <i>R. argillacea</i> species complex, which is an emerging pathogen notable for azole resistance in the last decades. The dog was euthanised following 18 days of itraconazole therapy due to clinical deterioration.
