Green synthesis of 4,4′-diaminotriarylmethane derivatives using a recyclable magnetic acidic nano catalyst

The synthesis of 4,4'-diaminotriarylmethane derivatives plays a crucial role in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. This study presents a simple, efficient, and eco-friendly method for the one-step synthesis of various 4,4'-diaminotriarylmethane derivatives using Fe₃O₄@L-proline@SO₃H as a catalyst at 80 °C in EtOH solvent. The triarylmethane derivatives were synthesized in 73-92% yields. The resulting products were characterized using melting point determination, FT-IR spectroscopy, ¹H NMR spectroscopy, ¹³C NMR spectroscopy, CHN analysis, and HRMS analysis. To assess the catalyst's properties, extensive characterization techniques including FT-IR, XRD, SEM, XPS, TEM, VSM, TGA, and BET analyses were used. These analytical techniques were employed to confirm the identity and purity of the synthesized compounds.
