Thirteen metagenome-assembled genomes of <i>Paraglaciecola chathamensis</i> associated with the farmed red seaweeds <i>Porphyra dioica</i> and <i>Porphyra umbilicalis</i>

We report 13 metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) of <i>Paraglaciecola chathamensis</i> (<i>Gammaproteobacteria</i>) retrieved from farmed Atlantic Nori (<i>Porphyra</i> spp.) across several developmental stages. MAGs encode proteins involved in host-microbe interactions, nutrient acquisition, nitrogen and cofactor metabolism, stress resilience, and genome plasticity, illuminating the possible roles of <i>Paraglaciecola</i> in the <i>Porphyra</i> holobiont.
