Unexpressed Support Needs and Social Distress in Working-Age Cancer Survivors: A Web-Based Cross-Sectional Study in Japan

Many working-age cancer patients in Japan experience significant social distress but do not voice their support needs, particularly regarding sensitive topics. Support from non-family sources plays a key role in addressing unmet and unexpressed needs. These findings highlight the importance of multidisciplinary psychosocial care and proactive efforts to identify hidden distress and diversify support networks for working-age cancer patients.
