Background. In the context of digitalization of state control and supervisory mechanisms, approaches based on the scientific positioning of state control (supervision) as a digital ecosystem are of particular importance in the set of methodological techniques for studying control and supervisory relations. The purpose of the study is to define the concept of a digital ecosystem of state control (supervision), identify its components, and substanti-ate ecosystem approaches to the study of control and supervisory mechanisms. Materials and methods. The implementation of the research objectives was achieved through the analysis of scientific literature on the topic of the study, as well as regulatory legal acts. Comparative legal and formal legal methods were used. Results. The author's definition of the ecosystem of state control (supervision) is proposed, which is understood as a set of elements interacting within the framework of control and supervisory and related legal rela-tions through the exchange of information in order to achieve the goals of state control (su-pervision). Conclusions. A conclusion is made about the possibility of identifying special ecosystem approaches to the legal justification of state control (supervision). These ap-proaches are conditioned by the digitalization of control and supervisory activities and at the same time are the development of more traditional approaches to the study of state control (supervision), including information approaches and the concept of control authority.
