Compensatory “rolling-like” tongue motion after circumferential tongue necrosis without reconstruction: A functional adaptation phenomenon

Conservative management of circumferential tongue necrosis may allow partial long-term functional adaptation under selected conditions. Recognition of characteristic compensatory movement patterns may assist in reconstructive decision-making.
