Education and Mandatory Political Justification in Nigeria

Education as a necessary factor in any political system is an undisputable fact, for a meaningful political development to take place in any nation, especially like Nigeria. The place of education is never in doubt to influence positively those in the position of authority to ascertain what are needed to put in place for effective administration and good governance. Education as a matter of fact in this sense is not just what one obtain in the institution of learning, but it deals with all rounds development which make one to contribute meaningfully to the development of himself, his family, his society and the entire nation. this paper examine education and mandatory political justification in Nigeria. It explores the concept of education, justification, mandatory and political education. It explains some philosophical questions and analysis as well as plato & Aristotle on political education-the Athenian example. It also looks at the Nigeria political problems-a justification for mandatory political education, the issue of ideology and mandatory political education in Nigeria was highlighted. Among the recommendations was that government institutions should act on event that has to do with man made instigated political issues such as election violence, looting, insecurity, thuggery, corruption and election rigging.
