Dynamics of content strategies in online publications

The article examines the dynamics of content strategies in online publications as participants in diverse events and social processes, as mass media existing solely in the online space and disseminating, from the editorial perspective, relevant, socially significant non-commercial information. Convergent content concepts are characterized, along with the effects of content strategy mobility, manifested in online publications' attempts to ensure timely information updates, coverage of significant events and processes, analysis of trends and patterns in modern societies' development, and consideration of audience interests and needs. From the perspective of online publications' development dynamics, systematized and instrumental content strategies are distinguished. Schematic and detailed modules of instrumental content strategies are identified as ordered sets of interconnected content elements designed for short- or long-term use, and the reasons for declining audience interest in online publications are outlined.
