Daily photovoltaic yield of solar generators with different orientation and performance optimization with regard to “day - a - head” electricity prices

Abstract In nowadays, fluctuation of photovoltaic (PV) - generated power and deep level of injection in public electric grid are widely-accepted as main notorious factors suspected for low performance and grid instabilities. Fluctuations in PV power generation and variability of market prices of electricity also mean fluctuation of annual profit of PV projects. Profitability and success of big PV projects are moreover worsened by “near-zero” electricity prices during noon hours. To capture these events and to optimize the PV yield, additional measurements and PV projects improvements should be performed.
