Gamma-Ray Burst Time Delays as Probes of Fabric Coherence in Al-Ani's Fabric Theory

Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) are among the most energetic phenomena in the universe, yet their duration and emission mechanisms remain poorly understood. The recent detection of GRB 25070B (January 2026), with an unprecedented duration of 7 hours, challenges standard models based on stellar core collapse or neutron star mergers. In the framework of Al-Ani's Fabric Theory, we propose that long GRBs arise from sequential collapse of Planck-scale fabric layers rather than instantaneous events. We derive the oscillation frequency of a deformed fabric region from the fundamental fabric equation and show that the observed 7-hour duration corresponds to a source size of R ≈ 10¹² - 10¹³ m, consistent with a stellar system. The energy output (~10⁵⁵ erg) matches the collapse of multiple layers over the oscillation period. The theory makes several testable predictions: • Correlation between duration and energy • Characteristic pulse structure (sub-pulses separated by ~7 hours) • Source size estimation from duration • Power-law spectrum I(f) ∝ f⁻² This paper is part of the Al-Ani Fabric Theory series (11+ papers, all on Zenodo), which unifies 40+ physical phenomena with a single dynamical equation and only two fundamental parameters.
