The Senior Perspective Constant: A Triangulated Validation across Moraic, Stress-Timed, and Epistemologically-Restricted Languages

This working paper introduces the Senior Perspective Constant(SPC), a non-translatory diagnostic formula for detecting acousticauthority markers across typologically distinct languages. The modelproposes that hierarchical social structures encode “senior” temporalperspective through specific phonological constants: back vowel resonance (Cv), moraic timing (Cm), and past-tense anchoring (Cp). Theformula F = (Vo) ÷Cm is validated through triangulation acrossthree test cases: (1) Japanese/M¯aori positive resonance (F > 0.5),confirming areal Pacific features; (2) Icelandic umlaut inversion (F <0.3), testing phonological boundary conditions; and (3) Pirahã nullhypothesis (F = undefined), demonstrating epistemological restrictions. Results indicate the SPC functions as a cultural-acoustic detector rather than a universal translator, identifying languages where“elder/era” concepts are phonologically embodied versus those wheresuch categories are absent or morphologically inverted.
