Extension of the Signal-Sensor Operating Principle (SSOP) Framework: The Noise Paradigm and Signal Archive Architecture in Complex Adaptive Systems

The Signal-Sensor Operating Paradigm (SSOP) proposes a third primitive coordinate with matter and energy at the foundation of reality: potential signal. From this grounding two irreducible triads emerge--(1) Matter, Energy, Potential Signal and (2) Signal, Sensor, Datum--that together describe the foundational architecture through which complex adaptive systems organize and produce emergent behavior. A first principles examination reveals that noise does not exist in Nature; it is a construct of man representing the boundary of current sensor architecture. What we call noise is signal we cannot yet resolve. This framework is not arrived at by synthesis of theory but by three decades of first principles reduction of observations of nature in motion, applied across biological, commercial, environmental, and information systems. A Signal Archive Architecture and a new metric — the Noise Delta — are proposed as practical instruments for retaining and reprocessing sub-threshold signal currently interpreted as noise. Domains showing promise include medicine, immunology, chronic disease, information systems, artificial intelligence, supply chain resilience, cosmology, and a wide reinterpretation of existing scientific knowledge. This work is offered not as law but as a new lens with which to examine the world around us.
