Impact of Work-Life Balance on Job Satisfaction: Examining the Mediating Role of Resilience Among Millennial Employees

The present study examined the impact of work–life balance on job satisfaction and investigated the mediating role of resilience among millennial employees. A quantitative research design was employed, and data were collected from 230 millennial employees using a structured questionnaire. The population consisted of full-time employees from various organizations, and participants were selected through a convenience sampling technique. Demographic data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, and correlation, regression analysis and ANOVA were performed to assess how the variables relate to each other. The results showed that work-life balance has a significant positive life satisfaction (r = 0.642, p < 0.01) as well as indicated that the work-life balance is a strong predictor of resilience (b = 0.624, p < 0.001). Moreover, it was found that work-life balance is mediated through resilience, which indicates that employees who are more resilient have higher job satisfaction in cases of effective work-life balance. The paper also underlines the need to adopt workplace solutions that increase work-life balance and resilience to foster employee welfare and the performance of an organization. These outcomes are worthwhile information to managers and policy makers who want to reap high production and job satisfaction at the contemporary workplaces.
