Research on the control mechanism of fractured limestone slope using grouted anchor support

This study investigates instability mechanisms of fractured limestone slopes and evaluates the effectiveness of grouted anchor cable reinforcement. A combined theoretical, numerical, and field-based methodology is adopted, including the development of a load-transfer model for grouted anchors in rock. Results show that slope displacement increases with the degree of fragmentation, becoming pronounced when the failure zone reaches 4 m depth. Grouting improves interfacial load transfer, with shear stress along the cable positively correlated with rock mass modulus and pre-stress level. After reinforcement, displacement decreases with greater reinforcement range and intensity, significantly reducing deformation and plastic zone extent. Field monitoring data align well with numerical predictions. The study confirms that grouting enhances rock mass integrity, improves mechanical properties, and provides an effective means for controlling slope deformation.
