Sinusoidal-subsequence-based simulation of ship radiated noise line spectrum

Abstract The line spectrum exhibits dynamic characteristics including frequency broadening and amplitude fluctuation, whereas conventional line spectrum simulation methods specifically the sine-wave-based method (SWM) inadequately replicates these dynamics. Accordingly, this paper proposes a sinusoidal-subsequence-based line spectrum simulation method (SSM). Evaluates the similarity in dynamic characteristics between the actual ship line spectra and those simulated by the SWM and the SSM. The simulation demonstrates that the SSM improves the average similarity to actual ship by 37.12% over the SWM, verifying its effectiveness in simulation of ship radiated noise.
