Fecal metabarcoding unveils the effect of cultivation practice on diet of grey partridge (Perdix perdix) chicks during early development

This data includes the results of metabarcoding fecal samples collected from grey partridge (Perdix perdix) chicks for diet analysis in organic and conventional fields in Denmark. ASV_table_filtered.csv contains taxonomic assignments for DNA sequences detected in each sample to at least Class and filtered for prey taxa contributing to ≥1% of total food reads in a sample. metadata_ASV.csv contains metadata for each of the collected samples, including approximate location, collection date, age of the chick and the cultivation practice (treatment) in the field where the sample was collected taxa_list.csv contains a list of all taxa detected to at least Class after filtering mortality.csv summarises the hatching, survival and mortality of the chicks in the study
