Genomic Insights from the Malaysian Pangasiid, Pangasius nasutus, reveal evolutionary divergence and functional adaptations in Pangasiid catfishes

This dataset contains repetitive element annotation and gene prediction results for the high-quality draft genome of Pangasius nasutus. Repetitive elements were identified using EarlGrey v7, a fully automated transposable element (TE) annotation pipeline, providing information on TE composition and genomic distribution. Genome annotation was performed using Helixer v0.3.5, a deep learning–based gene prediction tool that integrates convolutional and recurrent neural networks to predict gene structures. The dataset includes annotated repetitive elements, predicted gene models, and associated annotation files to support genomic and evolutionary studies of P. nasutus.
