Prevalence of antisynthetase antibodies in a multicentre early rheumatoid arthritis cohort

We report that the presence of anti-ARS antibodies cannot be confirmed by IP in a multicentre cohort of untreated early RA patients. Anti-ARS autoantibodies should not routinely be evaluated in patients with early RA. Sensitivity and specificity issues with DIA and LIA for anti-ARS should be considered in the interpretation of anti-ARS testing.
